Home stay in Rann of Kutch Gujarat Utsav

Rann of Kutch Home stay experience

Here is my experience in Rann of Kutch Gujarat Utsav. It is also known as white desert of Kutch, Rann utsav. Below are images of home stay near rann utsav also some details of other accommodation food, stay, people many more.

It was too dark when we reach Rann utsav almost most of the shops & Rann of kutch utsav gate for closed and we haven't booked any tent for home stay. While we driving towards rann we saw many hotels, tents, home stay all were well decorated and beautiful. Still we did booked any and moved ahead towards Rann utsav gate. However we couldn't get inside as it was already closed. So we thought to stay for the night, We were just looking around for tent one guy came to us and proposed for home stay. After bargaining we got ready for it. He took us to that place that place was so colourful entire house was painted very beautiful with multiple colours.

As the month was December it was too cold as soon as we reach they served hot tea with snacks out side the rooms a circle shape sitting arrangement was made in which middle of the center some woods were burning and nice music was played. When you look around you will see colourful painting on wall which makes place more appearing.

The same night we headed again towards Rann of Kutch festival and saw some shops were they were selling traditional cloths, purse and some utensils also we saw exhibition, folk dance, songs the night walk over the festival street was amazing colourful neat clean place and lighting was just amazing. Later we had traditional Thali at Rannn of Kutch festival. You can get veg, non-veg and multiple types of dishes Gujarati Thali, Marwadi Thali, Punjabi Thalli, Kutch Thali is one of the famous food to try and beverage. Having chilled Chaas with food is just yummy. When you have veg Thali they will offer you Ghee in every vegetables. Also applied on chapatis. The people of kutch do like and offer hot Ghee and Gudd (Jaggery) in a bowl its really tasty to have with Roti or Chappati. People there are so sweet and helpful. After having dinner we returned to our rooms. The bedrooms were neat clean, as we went in winter season in the month of December it was too cold so they offer extra blankets and pillows which was crafted by them and villagers. Inside room entire wall was having colourful drawing which has been done by them itself. The carving on walls was perfect for photoshoot.
